Ibanez Electric Basses TMB35MGR Editorial Review
The Ibanez TMB35 5-String Bass Guitar is a unique instrument that has been purchased due to its rarity. However, there are a few concerns with its practicality, including buzzing frets that require levelling, difficulty in tuning, inconveniently placed volume knobs and replacement strings only available to order in-store. While it is fun as a play instrument, it is not worth the price compared to other basses. The bass guitar has a bright jazz bridge pickup and a muddy precision pickup but overall sounds okay. The neck quality is lacking, and the buyer has noticed better quality necks on cheaper bass guitars. The bass can be improved with the addition of flatwound strings. The instrument is an interesting conversation piece but may not be as enjoyable to play as a beginner bass guitar. Pros include that it has a unique design and is a reasonable beginner's bass guitar in terms of value for money. However, the drawbacks include poor quality frets and strings, not being suitable for gigging, and a flawed design.
