Will it cut through an 8mm steel rod?
Answer: Mine could get jaws wide enough for an m10 bolt but did not have the capacity to bite into it. -

Do you have to undo any bolts? I cannot seem to open the cutting blades.
Answer: No, I didn't have to do anything to it. You just move the handles from side to side. -

What is the maximum diameter cutting size? I need to cut through galvanized steel 3.5mm. Are these suitable?
Answer: If they are mild steel bars, they should be OK. If you have a lot to cut, it might be better to buy the ones with the longer handles. -

How do you use it?
Answer: I used these cutters to cut about 50 nails on my fence. They did the job well, but I'm not sure they would cut anything bigger! -
