Armor Si is a silicate supplement for plants that claims to improve overall plant structure and increase flower and fruit production. It can be used for all plant types in every growth stage, including hydroponics and Coco Coir. The manufacturer suggests adding the supplement first to water, so it dissipates completely. Additionally, Armor Si can be used in early flower at heavier doses to reduce plant stretch and node spacing. Although this product is effective, we do not recommend foliar spraying because it could cause sensitivity issues, and plants cannot absorb silica through their stomata. It must be carried through the xylem to bond to the tissue and become useful. The only benefit of foliar spraying is it can suppress foliar expression of fungal diseases, but the solution should remain alkaline with a pH of 9 or higher. Customer feedback is positive, with many users stating that Armor Si is an "amazing product" that strengthens their plants and protects them from insects, bugs, and diseases.
