Does the top unscrew for taking the unit apart?
Answer: Yes, the top of the cast valve just unscrews. Take out the old parts and put in the new parts in the same order as the old parts came out. Takes less than five minutes. -

Where does the washer go in the 3 pcs repair kit?
Answer: The washer goes between the housing and the cap. The old one should have been on there when you disassemble it
