It is used to cut off power to a circuit within a delay of 1-10 seconds, as the delay timer is adjustable from a minimum of 1sec to 10sec. The red push button switch is momentary and will not work with a latching switch in place of the push button. However, interrupting power from the module will stop the power supply to the load. The module can handle the current draw of all the audio equipment, as long as a high capability relay is added, and used to switch on and off. Its short time range of 0 to 10 seconds can be increased to 0 to 40 seconds by incorporating a 470 microfarads capacitor across the existing electrolytic capacitor in parallel. The timer is not accurate and changes with each push, although it will work without a load. It's important to note that a persistent input will not activate the timer and will keep the load active indefinitely. The terminal for CK, COM, CB will only accept a small wire gauge less than 22 gauges, even though it's rated for 10 amps. The product works as described, and changing the time for the timer is easy.
