The Rupes 9BF150H-50 Coarse Blue pad is advertised as a very aggressive pad that can be used to remove deep scratches, swirls and heavy oxidation. However, the reviews by customers are mixed. One customer mentioned that when he used the pad with a compound after wet-sanding, it worked well in removing serious scratches that remained even after sanding with a 3000-grit sandpaper. Another customer said that the pad didn't work for him as expected and that he preferred using DMC5. Some customers praised the Rupes system in general, stating that they were happy with all the other pads except the coarse one. However, others mentioned that the Rupes pads fell apart easily and didn't absorb product, causing splatter. It is important to note that this pad is part of the Rupes system, which is a complete system with its own specialized pads, compounds and polishes that are color-coded to correspond with the correct pad. Therefore, using this pad with other products may not yield optimal results.
