SABRENT Mounting Brackets BK-HDDF Editorial Review
The SABRENT 2.5 Inch to 3.5 Inch Internal Hard Disk Drive Mounting Bracket Kit (BK-HDDF) has garnered positive feedback from customers looking to upgrade their computers, particularly iMac users seeking to swap out their mechanical hard drives for faster SSDs. Many reviewers emphasize the importance of a secure and reliable fit when transitioning from a standard hard drive to an SSD. This product meets those demands effectively by providing a full-size adapter that allows for proper screw placement and ensures that the SATA connections are accessible without the need for longer cables. Customers appreciate the well-thought-out design, which positions the SSD correctly for easy installation in various systems, particularly in iMac models released after 2012, where other alternatives may not fit as snugly. Users commend the included screws for easy installation and the overall sturdiness of the bracket; it remains a preferred choice for many based on its affordability and functionality. Some even note that it outperforms other brands that tend to vary in quality and compatibility. However, it's worth noting that this product does not work with "slide in" drive bays due to its design, which places the SSD in the center. This could be a limitation for certain users operating systems with different setups. Despite this minor drawback, the overwhelming sentiment is one of satisfaction, with the majority of customers recommending this bracket for anyone looking to make a seamless transition to SSDs. **
