However, it is not suggested to use the product in older Powerstroke engines as it may deteriorate injector cup material. Delo XLC is another highly recommended product that supersedes Delo ELC. Despite being a bit costly and nitrite-free, XLC is a better formula that is suitable for newer diesel engines manufactured after 2010.
