Users appreciate the throne's ability to provide prolonged comfort during extended sessions—whether it’s long rehearsals, practice sets, or recording marathons. Many customers, including those with larger body types, report that the throne offers solid support without compromising on performance. Its round seat design is noted for making it easier to sit balanced, which contrasts favorably with bicycle-style thrones often preferred by drummers. Several reviews point out the throne's robust and heavy Construction, which contributes to its stability on the floor. While this heft may be seen as a drawback by some seeking lightweight transportable options, many find that it translates to a more secure and dependable seating experience. Complaints about fragility or awkward lever placements seem to be unfounded, as users have noted practical solutions for transportation and adjustment. When comparing the Gibraltar 9608-SFT to other thrones in the market, many users believe that it offers comparable—or even superior—quality at a more reasonable price point than premium brands such as Tama or DW. This has led to endorsements of this throne as the best value option, particularly for drummers who demand both comfort and functionality. Overall, the Gibraltar 9608-SFT Softy Drum Throne stands out as a highly recommended choice for drummers seeking a reliable and comfortable seating solution.
