Answer: There is a screw on the side where the prongs are. Remove screw and "open" plug. It spreads open from the bottom as pictured. Connections are then exposed. Very simple job. -

Which side of plug gets neutral wire?
Answer: This is a non polarized plug for appliances designed specifically for non polarized inputs. In such cases, the hot and return lines are interchangeable. If your appliance is polarized, DO NOT use this plug. Use a polarized plug only! -

Answer: 16 awg fit well. I think 14 awg would be a squeeze. -
