It is possible to activate it remotely, but all the other variables have to be considered for a successful outcome. The main rod measures 0.118" diameter and sticks out 0.780", and the retraction movement is 0.170". Overall, it received mixed reviews - some found it to work great while others found it to be smaller than expected and to break easily.
