What surfaces can I use NOVUS-PK1-2 on?

NOVUS-PK1-2 is designed to be used on a variety of plastic surfaces, including clear acrylic, polycarbonate, and other rigid plastics. It effectively cleans, polishes, and removes scratches, making it ideal for items like bike windshields, helmet visors, and automotive parts. Its specialized formula ensures a brilliant shine, restoring the visual appeal of your items without damaging the material.

How does the fine scratch remover work?

The fine scratch remover, NOVUS #2, utilizes micro-fine abrasives that effectively remove superficial scratches while polishing the surface. Its gentle formulation ensures that it can be used on delicate surfaces without causing further damage. This makes it suitable for daily use on items like eyeglass lenses, smartphone screens, and dashboard plastics, helping to maintain their clarity and appearance.

Is NOVUS-PK1-2 safe for automotive use?

Yes, NOVUS-PK1-2 is completely safe for use on automotive surfaces, particularly plastic components such as headlight lenses and trim. Its unique formula helps to reduce haziness and yellowing caused by UV exposure, thereby improving visibility and aesthetics. Whether you're restoring an aging vehicle or simply maintaining its appearance, this product is an essential addition to your automotive care kit.

How do I apply the NOVUS products?

To apply NOVUS products, simply clean the surface to remove any dirt and debris. Apply a small amount of the desired product directly onto a clean, soft cloth and gently buff the area in a circular motion. For heavy scratches, start with NOVUS #3, followed by NOVUS #2, and finish with the cleaning and shine product, NOVUS #1. This layered approach ensures optimal results, restoring your items to their original shine.

Can NOVUS-PK1-2 be used on household items?

Absolutely! NOVUS-PK1-2 is versatile and effective for various household items made of plastic, such as appliances, furniture, and toys. It not only cleans but also removes scratches and restores shine, making it a great choice for maintaining items like plastic storage bins, household fixtures, and even decorative pieces. This ensures your home remains looking polished and well-maintained.

How long does the shine last after using NOVUS-PK1-2?

The shine achieved using NOVUS-PK1-2 can last several weeks, depending on the surface and exposure to environmental conditions. Regular maintenance through light cleaning with NOVUS #1 will help prolong the shine and keep plastics looking pristine. This is particularly beneficial for outdoor items exposed to sun and weather, helping to maintain their appearance over time.

Is there a specific way to store NOVUS-PK1-2 products?

To ensure the longevity and effectiveness of NOVUS-PK1-2 products, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. These conditions help maintain the integrity of the formulas. Proper storage will make sure that the products remain effective, providing you with consistent results every time you use them on your plastics.

What should I do if the scratches are deep?

For deep scratches, start by using NOVUS #3, the heavy scratch remover, which is formulated to tackle more significant blemishes. Apply it with a little extra pressure, using a clean cloth, to effectively diminish the visibility of deep scratches. After the initial treatment, follow up with NOVUS #2 to smooth the surface, and finish with NOVUS #1 for a protective, glossy finish, thus restoring the area to its best condition.

Are there any precautions I should take while using NOVUS-PK1-2?

When using NOVUS-PK1-2 products, it’s recommended to work in a well-ventilated area and avoid contact with eyes and skin, as with any cleaning products. Ensure you test the product on a small, inconspicuous area first, especially on new or delicate surfaces, to confirm compatibility. This careful approach allows you to enjoy radiant plastic surfaces without worries.
