Gamblin Printmaking Inks GBI1005 Editorial Review

The Etching Ink Color: Bone Black is an oil-based ink that is commonly used for various etching projects. However, there are certain limitations to its effectiveness. According to customer feedback, the ink may not be suitable for filling plastic engraved letters as it takes a while to dry, is not permanent, and there are better alternatives such as paint. Additionally, if used for glass etching, the ink is not dishwasher safe and should be wiped off with mineral spirits and alcohol using paper towels. While the ink is waterproof, its longevity when used on etched brass exposed to water is uncertain. Overall, the Etching Ink Color: Bone Black provides satisfactory results for certain applications, but customers should be aware of its limitations and Consider alternative options for specific projects.
