Drama Editorial Review
Bad Day at Black Rock is a haunting and intense movie that sees Spencer Tracy deliver an outstanding performance. Set in the dry and uninhabitable part of the desert during WWII in the 1950s, Tracy's character is commissioned to deliver a medal of honor to a Japanese American hero in a desolate and hostile place. Despite the small cast, the supporting roles are well-done, and the film has a tight plot that keeps the viewer engaged. The movie also features excellent music and is shot in widescreen cinemascope, which adds to the viewing experience.
