Answer: Yes, there is an installation sheet. -
Question:
I have to replace model #398-9610a33 stator. Mine has 4 red wires. Your picture shows two. Is this an incorrect photo? Can you provide a link?
Answer: The photo is correct. It has only (2) red wires, one is solid red and the other is red with a white tracer. The other (2) wires are blue. Solid blue and blue with a white tracer. Red and blue go together on (1) switchbox and the other wires with the white tracer go on the other switchbox. Yellow wires go to the voltage regulator rectifiers and the black goes to ground. -
Question:
How many poles for tach setting?
Answer: Your tach wires come off your voltage regulators. You have 2. If you're running a Mercury V6 outboard, it will be the grey wire. Only one will be used, the other will just not be hooked up. Either grey wire is fine, but only use one of them.
