How do I know if my Whirlpool 3979618 Timer needs replacement?

Signs that your Whirlpool 3979618 Timer may need replacement include the washing machine not advancing through cycles, erratic behavior, or the appliance failing to start. If you’re uncomfortable with this process or lack the necessary tools, reaching out to a professional technician would be the best course of action to avoid any potential mishaps.

What are the common symptoms of a faulty washing machine timer?

Common symptoms of a faulty washing machine timer include the machine failing to start at all, it getting stuck in a single cycle, or the inability to fill or drain water properly. Thus, keeping your timer in good condition is essential for maintaining high performance and prolonging the life of your washing machine.

What should I do if my Whirlpool washing machine is still malfunctioning after replacing the timer?

If your Whirlpool washing machine continues to malfunction after replacing the timer, consider checking other components such as door switches, water supply issues, or unresponsive controls. This way, you have peace of mind that the repair will restore your washing machine correctly.

What is the average lifespan of a Whirlpool timer?
