DEE ZEE Truck Beds & Tailgates DZ 2137B Editorial Review
The Dee Zee DZ2137B Black-Tread Tailgate Protector has garnered a mix of experiences from customers, highlighting its aesthetic appeal and practical functionality, though there are some notable fitment concerns. Many users praised the product's solid Construction, made from diamond plated anodized aluminum, which not only offers a visual upgrade for trucks but also serves a protective purpose. The ease of installation was another positive noted by several reviewers, who appreciated that the item came with screws, although some faced issues regarding the inclusion and necessity of pre-drilling. A key highlight for many is the product's cost-effectiveness compared to OEM plastic alternatives; it proved to be a well-received solution for those needing to replace damaged or warped original parts. However, fitment discrepancies were a common theme, with some users experiencing significant size issues that necessitated modifications for proper installation. This inConsistency in sizing diminished the overall appeal for some, leading to disappointment among those who had hoped for a perfect fit. In terms of practicality, the tailgate protector appears to meet the needs of most users, although it may not provide the thickest level of protection; it stands comparably to other OEM options. Overall, while the Dee Zee DZ2137B Black-Tread Tailgate Protector is generally well-regarded for its Construction and value, potential buyers should be aware of the fitting details and the necessity of some custom adjustments. **
