Ashun Sound Machines Synthesizer & Workstation Keyboards HSKB Editorial Review
The Hydrasynth is an excellent beginner's synthesizer, with 128 built-in patches and an intuitive arpeggiator, perfect for both beginners and experts alike. The build quality is solid, all metal and durable, and the user interface is easy to master with practice. The standout feature of the Hydrasynth is the polyphonic aftertouch, which allows for a level of expression and nuance in playing that is unmatched by other synthesizers. The touch strip is also a great feature for expression, allowing users to play with pitch and create unique sounds. The sounds produced are strong, deep, and unique, sounding more analog than even some analog synthesizers. However, some customers have reported cosmetic damage upon delivery. The Hydrasynth is a bit of a "nerdy" synth, requiring some menu diving to get to where you want to be, but the options available are stunning, making it an excellent value for the price.
