The Vent Systems 4" Inch Backdraft Damper is a heavy-duty one-way airflow ducting insert that helps prevent cold air from blowing back into your home during windy weather. It has inline spring loaded shutters to prevent backflow. However, the direction arrow needs to be paid attention to as it is directional. Some customers have noted that the foam seal insert that comes with the damper are lacking and may get hot or come loose, but this can be remedied by using foam and silicone. Despite packaging issues, some customers were able to make it work for their ventilation needs.
