Orgies of Edo is a Japanese movie that has been released on Blu-ray. The film is a collection of three short stories that revolve around the dark and erotic side of Edo-era Japan. While the movie does have some redeeming qualities, it ultimately falls short of expectations. The three stories contained in Orgies of Edo are all visually stunning and feature some impressive cinematography. The movie is definitely not lacking in terms of its visuals. However, this is where the positives end. The writing and acting in Orgies of Edo are both mediocre at best. The female lead character is particularly poorly written and portrayed. This means that while the movie may look good, it is difficult to become invested in the story or characters. Reviews: - Waste of time and glad I rented --- but not really worth watching or renting. - I did not finish watching the movie because of SERVICE-ERROR. I want my money back. Thank you. - Soo bad, I watched just for a minute. - Poorly written and poorly acted. Female lead character ("ootmi" or something like that) was just an idiot. Turned it off after struggling through half. - The DVD was delivered in time and runs well. - 3 very good short stories
