VDO Blower Motors Editorial Review
The VDO PM6009 Blower Motor has received a mixed reception among customers, showcasing both positive experiences and significant issues. Many users appreciate that the product runs comparably to the original motor, emphasizing that it operates effectively and appears to meet performance expectations for the price point. The blower motor is noted for its sound, with some indicating it is a bit louder than the original but still satisfactory. Some found the installation straightforward, praising the provided instructions that allowed them to avoid more complex procedures like dropping the engine. However, a notable number of customers encountered substantial problems. A few experienced early failures of the motor, which required them to invest additional money in replacement parts and gaskets, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction. There are also mentions of difficulties regarding the installation process, particularly with screw lengths and threading which caused extra challenges. Additionally, instances of defective products surfaced, and while some reported smooth return processes, others expressed disappointment over unresponsive customer service. Pricing also became a point of discontent for a few users after discovering lower prices elsewhere post-purchase. In summary, while the VDO PM6009 Blower Motor might serve as a cost-effective alternative to original parts, potential buyers should be cautioned about installation quirks and the risk of product failure. **
