TITAN 757 PERFORMANCE Controls 1PW-13-Y001 Editorial Review
The Sea Doo Dess Ignition Key Cap & Floating Lanyard Tether Yellow Programmable is a DESS (Digitally Encoded Security System) key designed to start a SeaDoo watercraft. This key comes covered with rubber on its metal base, which can be an issue as it may not make contact with the slot to switch on the watercraft. The DESS key works with SeaDoo models built in 1996 or after that year. If you have a 1996 or later SeaDoo model, you must get this DESS key programmed to start the watercraft. You can take it to a local dealer for programming or use a Candoo Seadoo programmer if you have one. If your SeaDoo is older than 1996 or DESS has been deactivated, you do not need this key. Customers' feedback is mixed regarding this product. Some customers reported that the key failed to start their SeaDoo, while others praised its quality and affordability. Customers advised some thought be given to how the key is programmed, and one customer said that they were unable to program this key for their 1997 SeaDoo Challenger.
