Mile Marker Winch Shackle Mount is a non-load bearing product that simply covers the thimble on your Steel Cable or Synthetic Rope. The mount is made of durable rubber and is easy to install. It allows the winch line to be snugly retracted without causing any damage to the fairlead and also prevents the shackle from rattling around. The Mile Marker Winch Shackle Mount enables the use of a shackle instead of a hook on the winch line. It works with most winches and is compatible with Warn Spydura rope. Users have reported that it holds up well, but it may not hold up well in extreme heat. However, some customers had trouble getting a shackle on the shackle mount and had to return it. Other customers have reported that it does not hold the rope end loop in place, which can be a challenge at times. While the product is made from rubber not metal, it is a great low-cost alternative to other shackle mounts.
