SEIKO Editorial Review
** Obscure: The Aftermath - Nintendo Wii** "Obscure: The Aftermath" presents a uniquely quirky blend of horror and humor that has garnered a mixed reception from players. Many customers found the graphics to be a highlight, with well-designed environments and character models that effectively evoke a creepy atmosphere, particularly in darker settings and horror-infused cutscenes. The gameplay mechanics are another strong point, especially for those who appreciate cooperative multiplayer experiences. Players praised the collaborative puzzle-solving element where friends must navigate challenges together, offering a delightful mix of strategy and chaos during intense combat sequences. However, the narrative has been critiqued for being convoluted and overly reliant on genre clichés, often leaving players confused about the plot direction. The characterization, which leans heavily on stereotypes of college students, has not resonated well with all, with some reviewers finding it lacking depth. Additionally, technical issues have marred the experience for a few, with glitches reported that hinder gameplay enjoyment. Despite these shortcomings, "Obscure: The Aftermath" manages to maintain a level of enjoyment, particularly for fans keen on horror and cooperative gameplay. While it might not reach the heights of classic horror titles, it offers moments of fun and laughter, especially when played with friends. Overall, it provides a decent gaming experience at an accessible price, earning it a solid recommendation for those in search of a party game that embraces the goofy side of horror. **
