Generic Reward Diquat E-Pro 2L from Nufarm 1 Gallon is a wonderful product for killing weeds at the edge and in your pond. It is aquatic safe for fish and swimming, but for cattle, they should not eat or drink within the first 24 hours. It works by stopping the photosynthesis of the algae. It is very fast acting, effective in killing leafy pond weed mixed with Cutrine plus in spot locations. It only took a couple of days before seeing a change in a 1 1/2-acre pond with severe algae. Two applications on duckweed, one week apart, turns it brown, but it comes right back. It does not kill the root but kills the top portion of the plant. Use with care.
