Velo Orange Rim Brake Sets Editorial Review
Grand Cru Long Reach Brakeset is an excellent choice for cyclists seeking superior stopping power and modulation. Users have reported a significant performance improvement, claiming these brakes are about 30% more effective than the Shimano BR-650s they replaced, particularly under the same conditions with the same brake shoes. They are praised for being both aesthetically pleasing and robust, giving an impression of high effectiveness due to their solid design. However, it's worth noting that the brakes utilize Torx 30 recessed brake nuts, which can be a minor inconvenience if the proper tool isn't on hand. Overall, the Grand Cru is regarded as a fantastic upgrade for long reach brake setups, far surpassing competitors like Tektro and Shimano.
