The Nikon NIKKOR Z 40mm f2 is a prime lens designed for Z series mirrorless cameras. It features a large aperture and is well-received for its sharpness and functionality. The lens does not come with a lens hood, but the old Nikon HR-1 is recommended for use without vignetting. It should be noted that the "se" version has a different aesthetic to match the retro Z fc, but both versions functionally have the same internal components and are compatible with all Z bodies. However, the lens does not have in-lens stabilization and relies on in-body stabilization. While it fits the Z50, it should be noted that as a crop sensor camera, the equivalent focal length will be 60mm. The lens lacks weather sealing.
