Running & Jogging Editorial Review
Daniels' Running Formula is a highly recommended book for runners, especially those who love to understand the why behind the recommendations. The book provides a full physiological context and Pros and Cons, making it super helpful and motivating. However, it may be challenging to comprehend all the levels and depth of the book, but it tremendously improves understanding of running at a professional level. Experienced runners can put the fundamentals into practice, and it gives a general understanding, while beginners can use it as a guide. The book is Considered the gold standard when it comes to running and endurance events. The VDOT system and layout of running plans are some of the best in the book. Though, it doesn't mention resistance training extensively, which could be a bit of a letdown for those looking for it.
