BUFFALO Switches BS-MP2008 Editorial Review
The Buffalo Multi-Gigabit 8 Port Business Switch BS-MP2008 is a great product for the money compared to enterprise models. It provides high data rates to and from a NAS, allowing multiple users to edit simultaneously. All ports are RJ45 which is a plus. However, there are a few drawbacks. The switch can be loud, but this can be resolved by replacing the fans. It claims to support link aggregation and VLANs, but it lacks LAG or LACP support for link aggregation and the VLAN implementation is not as secure as expected. Overall, it works great with full 10GbE speeds and is a good option for small businesses or home setups with multiple devices spread out across different floors.
