General Wire Drain Augers 2CG Editorial Review
The General Wire 2CG Clog Chopper is a versatile cutting tool designed to tackle clogs and roots in drains. Although it may not be effective for concrete or mortar in the drain, customers have found it to be effective for other types of clogs. It is compatible with the Rigid drain auger K-400, making it a convenient tool for those who already own the K-400 machine. Customers have also reported that it can rip up tampons, further demonstrating its effectiveness. Some customers have used it with a flexible DWV 90-degree elbow in their line without any issues, suggesting that it is safe to use. However, it is specifically designed for 2-inch pipe enlargers, so it may not be suitable for larger pipes. There have been some discrepancies with the product's size, with the description stating it is for 2-inch pipes but some customers receiving one that measures 1-1/2 inches. This misleading description has led to disappointment among some buyers, indicating that the seller needs to update the information. Overall, customers who have used the General Wire 2CG Clog Chopper have had mixed experiences. Some found it to be effective for clearing their lines, while others have had difficulty with it getting stuck or not living up to their expectations.
