Answer: The Bladeclean is designed to remove small amounts of rust on the teeth of the blade. Heavily rusted blades may not clean well and should be inspected by a blade service. -

MICROJIG BladeClean BC-81012 Blade And Bit Cleaning System is an effective tool to extend the life of your blades and router bits. The well of the BladeClean is slightly sloped so that blades of any diameter from 12" to 6" will contact the cleaning pad primarily on the teeth and less on the body of the blade. The spongy pad does an excellent job cleaning the blades and bits. The accessory cleaning discs work very well for cleaning light rust off tools and other objects. You can store liquid inside the wells if you plan on using it again within a week or two. The lid is designed to be spill-resistant, but not spill-proof, so you need to store it flat. It does not come with any cleaning solution, but you can use your favorite cleaner solution. The BladeClean is replaceable, and replacement pads are available on the website.
