Powerfields Gate Latches P-GL1W Editorial Review
The Powerfields One-Way Latch Lock is a heavy-duty gate hardware that many customers found easy to install, with some reporting that it saved them time. A customer who used the lock for a llama birthing stall reported that it worked perfectly. Another customer replaced their swinging gate with a wooden sliding gate and found that the latch worked perfectly and took only 10 minutes to install. One customer used the lock to keep their neighbor from damaging their land with a zero turn mower. Another customer put it on their goat gate to keep the goats from straying, while another used it on their chicken gate. However, there were also several negative reviews, with some customers finding the design ridiculous, particularly in terms of the hinge placement. One customer noted that there was not one clear photo showing how it was supposed to be mounted, while another said that the keeper bar was too short and needed to be within an inch or so of the latch. A few customers suggested that if the lock were made with an offset so that it could mount to the center of the gate opening side of the post, it would be a perfect product.
