Anime Editorial Review
Inu-Oh [Blu-ray + DVD] is a stunningly unique musical anime film directed by Masaaki Yuasa, known for its incredible art style and compelling storytelling. The movie runs for 1 hour and 37 minutes and is presented in Japanese with subtitles, combining the traditional world of Noh performance with modern rock concert elements, creating a vibrant audiovisual experience. Many viewers praised its gorgeous animation and captivating soundtrack, making it stand out from typical anime offerings. Although it may not cater to younger audiences due to its pacing, the emotional depth and character development resonate well with teens and adults. The film explores themes of friendship and the cost of fame through an engaging narrative about the intertwined lives of its protagonists, Tomona and Inu-Oh, who use music to share untold stories.
