Format: CD-ROM Editorial Review
** Cytus Alpha Switch CD-ROM** Cytus Alpha, an updated port of the popular mobile rhythm game, has garnered a mixed reception among players. Although many users praise the game's extensive music library, featuring over 200 songs along with unique story elements, there are significant concerns regarding its execution on the Nintendo Switch. Players enamored with rhythm games appreciate the gorgeous music selection and the game's ability to cater to all skill levels, from beginners to experts. The adaptability to controller use is a highlight, setting it apart from other rhythm games like Voez, and providing a different gameplay experience. However, several customers have expressed frustration with the game's user interface (UI), describing it as basic and frustratingly unpolished compared to its mobile counterparts, particularly Cytus II. Issues such as locked chapters requiring players to complete lower-level songs to progress, as well as reports of game freezing and navigation problems, have marred the experience for some users. Many players feel that the game is not worth its price tag of $50 in its current state, hoping for timely software updates to rectify the identified bugs and enhance the overall quality. While Cytus Alpha shows potential with its captivating soundtrack and gameplay, it seems to falter due to technical shortcomings and UI issues, leaving players wanting a more complete product. Fans of rhythm games should weigh these aspects carefully before committing to a purchase. **
