The Cuisinart DGB-550BKP1 Automatic Coffeemaker Grind & Brew, 12-Cup Glass, Black allows you to use fresh ground coffee, which according to a customer, yields better results. When cleaning, the grinder cup, grinder lid, brew basket, and coffee pot can all be placed in a dishwasher's top rack. To access the coffee filter, customers are advised to push the button on the left lateral flank. You can adjust the warming pad from 1 to 4 hours. Although the grind size cannot be adjusted, it produces a fine grind. You don't need to use beans, as ground coffee can be used instead. Furthermore, it is possible to brew without grinding, but it is not possible to grind without brewing. A few customers have reported issues with the machine, such as overflowing or being unable to be cleaned properly. On the other hand, a customer mentioned that this is their second machine from Cuisinart in 25 years and that the machines last a long time. The machine has a lot of parts to clean, and cleaning becomes more difficult due to the steam entering the grinding chamber, making a mess. The lid is not capable of holding securely, so the coffee pot must be cleaned all the time.
