Various Artists (Artist) Format: Audio CD Electronic Editorial Review
**** The "Slow Music For Fast Times" compilation has garnered a mixed yet largely positive reception among its listeners. Fans of the genre, particularly those affiliated with the Hearts of Space label, commend the album for its ability to create a serene atmosphere conducive to relaxation and meditation. Several reviewers have noted the album's effectiveness in reducing stress and enhancing moments of calm, making it an excellent choice for those looking to unwind during hectic days or while trying to enjoy restful afternoons. Listeners frequently mention the quality of the music, with high praise for the contributions from well-known artists like Mychael Danna, Tim Story, and Bill Douglas. The darker ambient tracks stand out, resonating deeply with fans and offering an enriching listening experience. However, the compilation is not without its faults; some users expressed disappointment with certain Asia-inspired vocal tracks, which they found to be jarring and inConsistent with the album's overall quality. This divergence in tastes might impact the overall enjoyment for some listeners, as not every song resonates equally. In summary, while "Slow Music For Fast Times" is celebrated for its atmospheric compositions and ability to provide a tranquil escape, it may not completely satisfy all listeners due to variations in musical preferences, particularly concerning vocal pieces. **
