The Edwards Signaling 44 Contactor N C switch is a great solution for turning off lights when a door or cupboard is closed. The switch opens up the circuit when the ball is pressed down by the closing door. The product has easy to attach wires, smooth operation and is rated for low-voltage use only. It requires a 24V transformer and a relay to operate AC fixtures; however, it is precision fit and comes with all hardware included. The switch needs a single 13/16" drill bit to install it in the door frame, and the spade bit makes quick work of the hole. The mounting tabs are thin, and the switch is susceptible to breakage if dropped.
