The Sizzix Big Shot machine is a versatile cutter and embosser that comes with a platform, thin die adapter, standard cutting pads, and an instruction booklet. The starter kit includes additional extras such as an extended multipurpose platform, a Thinlits die set, Bigz die, Textured Impressions Embossing folder, instruction booklet, and cardstock sheets. Customers have reported some missing pieces upon arrival, while others have praised the machine for its ability to take their card making to a new level. There is a slight learning curve with the embossing folders, and some customers have reported difficulties with thicker or thinner embossing folders necessitating adjustment. Scratching is also a common issue with the cutting pads, which some customers did not find to be as durable as they expected. The machine is compatible with 3D embossing folders, and can cut and emboss lightweight cardstock, thin sheet metal or thin leather.
