DEWALT Tables DW6184 Editorial Review
The DEWALT DW6184 Fixed Base for DW616618 Router is a convenient and well-made addition for users looking to have an extra mount when using their router on a table. The base is compatible with the DEWALT DW616 and DW618 routers. This fixed base is made of durable materials and is designed to fit securely to the router. It comes with screws for mounting and a plastic sub-base that allows for the use of bushing guides for jigs. However, it is important to note that a dust collection adapter is not available for this specific fixed base. Customers have mentioned that the base is exactly the same as the one that comes with the router, allowing them to have flexibility in their woodworking setup. Many reviewers have found it convenient to leave this fixed base permanently attached to their router table, while others have purchased it as a spare or second base for easier swapping between setups. However, there have been some negative reviews regarding the packaging and condition of the product upon delivery. Some customers have received units that appear to be used and have scuff marks, which is disappointing for a well-known brand like DEWALT. Overall, the DEWALT DW6184 Fixed Base for DW616618 Router is a reliable and functional choice for users seeking convenience and versatility in their woodworking projects. It provides a secure attachment for the router and allows for the use of bushing guides.
