The 12V Magnitude Magnetic Dimmable LED Driver Transformer is designed to be used for dimming purposes and is priced accordingly. It can be used with a smart dimmable plug on the supply side of the transformer. There seems to be no minimum load requirement for the 12-15 watt load and it is capable of handling a load close to its capacity. The transformer can generate heat but is equipped with a thermal cut-off switch. It is not recommended for use with submersed lighting or pool lights, but it can be used in damp locations. Overall, it is easy to install and has exceeded some customers' expectations. However, some customers have reported issues with smoking and malfunctioning.
