Bigsby B5 Vibrato Tailpiece, String-Thru, Polished Aluminum

The Bigsby® B5 Vibrato Tailpiece, with its polished aluminum design, garners mixed but largely positive customer experiences. Many users commend its easy installation, especially with the additional "Vibromate" adapter that simplifies the process, making it an attractive option for anyone looking to enhance their guitar with a classic tremolo system. Those who have installed the Bigsby appreciate its performance once set up, noting that it effectively adds depth and expressiveness to their playing. However, there are some common concerns regarding the quality and functionality of certain components, particularly the spring. A few customers found the original spring lacking in tension, leading to a less satisfying vibrato effect. Some users opted to purchase replacement springs independently to address this issue, indicating that while the tailpiece delivers on its promises, ensuring optimal performance might require additional purchases. Interestingly, an issue with purchasing a used unit has also surfaced, with one customer noting that missing parts rendered their experience frustrating. This has prompted advice from others recommending that potential buyers opt for a new unit to avoid such pitfalls. In summary, while the Bigsby B5 Vibrato Tailpiece is praised for its functional ability and aesthetic appeal, buyers are advised to invest in a new product for the best experience and to be prepared for the possibility of needing to replace parts for optimal performance. **
