The Yamaha MODX8 also offers exceptional sound, responsiveness, as well as 88 weighted keys, making it very pleasing to play. Customers felt that the price of the keyboard was very attractive, and they preferred the extra deck space for iPad, music, and the fact that it is significantly lighter than the Montage. There is, however, a learning curve to get into sound modification. The only downsides noted by customers were the poor-quality onboard sequencer, the meh organs and unbalanced outputs, which can make it susceptible to picking up stray noises and hums.
