Action & Adventure Editorial Review
Stick (Special Edition) [Blu-ray] is a captivating film that showcases Burt Reynolds not only as an actor but also as a director. Based on Elmore Leonard's novel, the movie is rich with slick dialogue and features Reynolds as an ex-con attempting to reconnect with his daughter while navigating the treacherous world of drug dealers in 1980s Miami. Viewers appreciate the authentic portrayal of the era, with its distinct culture and nuances, making it a nostalgic trip for those familiar with the period. The film combines action, romance, and suspense, and is complemented by a strong performance from Candice Bergen, adding depth to Stick's story. Overall, it's a film that resonates well with fans of classic cinema.
