However, the switch is not a momentary switch and has to be pushed twice to turn on and off. The rubber boot seems to fit tightly to ensure water resistance. Although the switch is flimsy, the right amount of tightness can make it solid and apparently waterproof. The thread size of the switch is 3/8-24.
