AUTO METER Fuel Sending Editorial Review
The Auto Meter 3262 Universal Fuel Level Sender is a versatile and adjustable option for monitoring fuel levels in various vehicles. This sender is designed to fit most tanks, making it a popular choice among car owners. However, it is important to follow the instructions carefully to ensure proper installation. One customer inquired about compatibility with a 1987 Ford 350 and was reassured that this sender is universal and should fit. Another customer installed it in their Ram and reported that it is working well. A customer also asked about compatibility with a 1993 Saturn SL2, but the answer was unsure. In terms of specifications, the sender has a diameter of 2-1/16" (52.4mm) and is made of steel with a protective coating. While it is designed to resist corrosion, it is noted that the presence of water content, sulfur molecule, and acid compounds can potentially cause chemical attack and build-up of corrosion over time. It is worth mentioning that the Auto Meter 4314 Ultra Lite Electric Fuel Level Gauge is not compatible with this sender, as it requires a sending unit with a different ohm range. Overall, the Auto Meter 3262 Universal Fuel Level Sender is a versatile option for monitoring fuel levels in various vehicles. Its adjustable design and compatibility with most tanks make it a popular choice. However, it is important to note that the presence of certain elements can potentially lead to corrosion over time.
