Rock Editorial Review
The 40th Anniversary Edition of "Brothers In Arms" by Dire Straits has received a overwhelmingly positive response from fans and critics alike. Celebrated as a masterpiece upon its original release, this remastered version has successfully captured the timeless quality of the album, which continues to resonate with listeners nearly four decades later. Reviewers have praised Mark Knopfler's exceptional musicianship, noting that even if "Brothers In Arms" isn't their personal favorite among his works, it remains a superior offering compared to the music landscape of its time. The added features, including a bonus live concert CD and interviews with band members, have been particularly well-received, providing deeper insights and a nostalgic connection for long-time fans. The sound quality has also drawn compliments, highlighting the efforts of the Rhino Records team to deliver an exquisite auditory experience. For newcomers to Dire Straits, this reissue serves as an excellent entry point, while die-hard fans appreciate the value of having a new version of a cherished classic. Overall, this anniversary edition is seen as a must-have for anyone interested in classic rock, enriching the collection of both new listeners and long-time aficionados. **
