Product Details
- Notes from Underground:Notes from Underground emerged during a difficult time for Dostoevsky: the social and political climate was tense, his wife was dying, and his relationship with another woman tormented him. From this crisis came a short but powerful work, packed with philosophical depth and radical questions about human existence. The protagonist, an unnamed civil servant, shares his memories in a confessional tone, exposing his personal tragedy and becoming an unforgettable antihero. Through him, Dostoevsky created a rhetorically powerful character, one of his most striking, where Russian cultural roots combine with a fierce rejection of bureaucratic oppression.
