This discrepancy becomes problematic for those using a 3.3V power supply, as the NE555 timer does not have a 3.3V specification. For these customers, the sensor cannot be relied upon for 3.3V usage. This is a well-documented problem with the supply of this type of sensor. While the sensors were found to be compatible with a 3.3V power supply by some users, there are other generic issues associated with this type of sensor.
