Would it be wide enough to fit an A3 clipboard?
Answer: I think it should be fine. When you have an A3 book inside there is a comfortable 2cm space on all sides. -

Answer: It has one pocket that is the width of the bag, mainly for thin sheets of paper and only goes halfway inside the bag. -

Is this item waterproof? Need to tie it to the back of a motorbike.
Answer: Yes, it is waterproof. However, the zip can let some dampness in, so it is suggested to wrap your sketchbook in a bin bag for extra protection. -
