Will the flap fit a door thickness of 24mm?
Answer: The Dog Mate Dog Doors are supplied with liner sheets allowing fitting into panels up to 50mm or 2 inches. -

What size would be suitable for a fully grown whippet dog?
Answer: For a fully grown whippet, we would advise the Close Pets Large Dog Door, which is suitable for dogs up to a maximum shoulder height of 630mm (25”). -

Is this suitable for cats?
Answer: These dog doors are designed for use by multi-pet households and can be used by cats. -

Is this big enough for a labrador??
Answer: This model would not be big enough, unfortunately. We would advise the Large Dog Door, ref: 216W. -
Question:
Is it magnetic all the way round the flap or just at the bottom? Plus, is there a locking system or just a sliding separate panel?
Answer: There is a magnet at the bottom of the flap and a corresponding one in the frame which hold the flap in the correct position. There is no locking system. If you do not want your pet to access the door, the security panel can be slid into place. -

Can the dog flap be fitted to a plastic panel if the glazed panel on my door is replaced?
Answer: The Dog Door cannot be installed into glass, so replacing with a plastic panel and installing into this will be fine. -

I cannot open the locking flap on the inside of the dog flap. Is it hinged or sliding?
Answer: To remove the security panel, press firmly down on the bottom section of the panel in the frame, where it says press and then slide upwards using the handhold at the top of the panel. -

How big does the hole in the door need to be for this?
Answer: This model dog door requires Cut-out size: width 242mm (9 1/2”), height 300mm (11 3/4”). -
